Thanks to all who provided prayer coverage for the events of the past two weeks.
We started with Orientation for new members on May 18 and 19. Then on Monday a number of them willingly helped set up and prepare the grounds for Camp Week.
Almost all the members-in-training, and several field members, gathered for three days of fellowship, inspiration, and teaching at Camp Week, May 22-24. Each day began with a time of worship. We finished each morning with the main message. Those three messages really ministered to us all. They were as follows:
Tuesday: "The Importance of Biblical Languages in Translation," by EK, an ABT Board member
Wednesday: "An Emotionally Healthy Team," by Tim Stoltzfus, an ABT Board member
Thursday: "The Priority of Discipleship and Church Planting," by Joe Root, an ABT Advisory Council member
With all the rain that came on Tuesday, we ended up seeking another place for Wednesday's sessions. This provided a beautiful opportunity to practice flexibility and teamwork, as we moved from one location to another several times throughout the day. Bryant, who was coordinating this event, commented something like this, "We're not on Plan A or B anymore. This is Plan E!"
Friday and Saturday, May 25 and 26, we hosted around 150 people, including children, at EXPLORE ABT. We were blessed to have many ABT members stay around for this event. They were not only able to lend a helping hand to keep things running smoothly, but also interacted effectively with other event participants. We look forward to hosting this event again in 2019, Lord willing, on May 24 and 25. Contact us any time if you would like more information or wish to sign up.
Even with various challenges and trials along the way, we are very grateful to the Lord for pouring out His blessing on these recent events.
