Church Planting Course
This course will stretch you as much as it equips you. Across eight modules, you’ll wrestle with what the New Testament church looks like, weigh planting models against Scripture and decades of field experience, learn the importance of understanding worldview and culture in order to be effective, and grapple with what it takes to build a church that can stand on its own after you leave. Along the way you’ll cover evangelism, discipleship, community development, and the character and unity a team needs to survive it all. Many of the presenters bring years of varied, hard-won cross-cultural experience, so what you get isn’t a single voice but a genuine conversation among practitioners. Come ready to be challenged and enriched.
Built and Designed for
While it’s designed for church planters, their teams, and sending churches, much of the content speaks well beyond that audience. Members of mission boards, those serving with established missions, or anyone with interest in cross-cultural ministry will likely find it worth their time too.
The course developed out of requests from partnering church leaders who wanted a shared set of resources for equipping cross-cultural church planters and those who send them. Many of our partnering churches and teams piloted it in 2023, and after rigorous review and revision based on their feedback, we’re glad to offer it as a resource for the journey of cross-cultural church planting.

Designed for meaningful group study.
Though an individual can work through the course on his own, it is intended for group use. We encourage church planters to invite their senders to join them in this course rather than working through it alone, or to consider going through it as a church planting team.
Churches that partner with All-Nations typically have a support team that works through the course with their church planting team member who is preparing to be sent; others in the congregation, including church leaders, are often involved as well.
