Why translate the New Testament?

Scripture in the mother tongue is foundational to a maturing church.

The New Testament in the mother tongue reveals and expounds the Gospel:

  • Jesus' life, death, and resurrection
  • The church operating under His headship in local congregations
  • The Kingdom of God spreading throughout the world, crossing political and ethnic boundaries
    •

Among those language groups where translation has been done, too many still lack the complete New Testament. For any number of reasons, translation progress stopped after a few books were translated. Without the entire New Testament in their language, how can the local church understand God's will for their doctrine and function?

Becoming a New Testament Translator

Training to be a new Testament translator involves much more than just learning Greek, but with diligence it can be done! From orientation to team launch, members typically spend two to four years in training. Click below to view the training requirements.
