Today we are moving into our second day of Orientation for new members. We have a full agenda with introduction to all things ABT, and even some time slotted for working in the prayer garden—getting ready for the crowds coming next week. It’s exciting to jump into preliminary Bible Translation items, Community Development concepts, and times of prayer and inspiration. Please pray that God would equip these new members to be effective workers in His harvest.
Coming up next week:
ABT Camp Week takes place this year May 21-23. Nearly all ABT members in training will attend, with a few field members. Melvin Lehman from Faith Builders is the primary speaker. He will present messages on the Kingdom of God—as a focus of the Bible, as a message to proclaim, and as a reality expressed in a functioning local church.
Other speakers for the week:
- Paul Shirk. How We Got the Canon of Scripture
- Paul Dye. Working Together: How an Uncontacted Tribe Received the Gospel
- Jay S. Supporting, Encouraging, and Staying Connected with Your Members (for sending church representatives attending)
Following Camp Week, we’ll host EXPLORE ABT. Registration is closed for this year, but EXPLORE ABT 2020 is being planned for May 29-30, so mark your calendars if interested!
