We are helping to fund a Hebrew lesson series in BibleLing, a free suite of biblical-language tools.
BibleLing is the vision of one of our first members, to meet a real need in global Bible translation. Agencies like us send trained translators, but translation work can only be effectively done with native language speakers as part of the team. Today, more and more mother-tongue speakers are being trained to significant roles in translation, and can benefit from a working knowledge of Hebrew and Greek. Accessible resources for their training are limited, and BibleLing provides free, easy-to-use tools, accessible to mother-tongue speakers even in out-of-the-way places.
What’s nice is that it is also available to any of us. Even though “First Words and Patterns” is not yet complete, you and your children can try out some fun and easy Hebrew words, phrases, and sentences on the preliminary version at hebrew.bibleling.org. You may be surprised what you can learn!
More BibleLing tools will be contributed from other sources. But ongoing development of “First Words and Patterns,” and other Hebrew and Greek learning tools, will be funded primarily by gifts designated for the project. To give to this project, click here and select “Hebrew.Bibleling.org.”
